“Chautaarey” (in the local dialect), is a small bench shaped resting place commonly made of concrete in memory of someone who has died. It is built in such a place where people normally want to rest for sometime before they carry on with their journey. By providing a space for someone to rest and ease their fatigue or tiredness is considered as good karma and good for the departed soul. Here you will see the rest of the #tea garden on the background and this chauraarey is overcrowded with individual lunch bags and umbrellas which tea pickers bring to work – another utilization
Have a great day!
