Note on this years Darjeeling First Flush
Teas (2009)
Greetings from the Land of the Thunderbolts!
Darjeeling witnessed severe drought in
the early period of the First Flush 2009
and media hyped it to a max and if we
didn't have rain before it was too late,
then most probably this Darjeeling First
Flush Page would have been empty. But
thanks to the nature god, it quenched
Darjeeling's thirst and tea bushes could
be seen bathing once again which is so
necessary for the nutrients to shoot up
the First Flush shoots. It was almost
on the verge of defoliation, but since
the rains did occur, we were lucky.
Yes, the production has gone done because
the full bulk production period was cut-short
- teas are rare this tea season, but quality
is as usual - normal Darjeeling First
Flush. Its great as always! So grab your
share before someone else does. Teas are
limited! |
