'Darjeeling Tea order' shipping is FREE* to any country world wide - order total must be USD 59 or above. All free shippings are done through India SpeedPost and Expedited Service - these two modes of free shipping depend on the total order value which is explained below. We had earlier included ordinary Airmail as well, but had to remove it because of its slow delivery time.

Shipping by India SpeedPost takes about 15 days for delivery. The other medium is through express courier service - DHL/Fedex/UPS etc. and the maximum stipulated time for delivery is 7 working days from the time of dispatch. An “Airway Bill No.” (AWB) e.g. 3390824441 will be sent to the client by email. This AWB number will help our clients track down their shipments by logging on to respective courier company websites eg. www.fedex.com etc.

Our weight system is based on Kilograms and zonal-wise distribution of a specific country. The minimum order a client can order is 100 grams. The shipping cost will be calculated and based on the number of grams or kgs a client intends to order and the country where the shipment has to be delivered. Shipping for 100 grams of tea may prove to be a little expensive, but the shipping cost will go down unit wise as the weight increases. So it is advisable to order more than 100 grams.

1) Expediated Service - Fedex, etc. (Recommended and reliable)
2) India Speed Post

a) A total purchase of USD 59-149: Will be sent by Speed Post (around 15 days)

3) While checking out you will be asked to opt for the shipping method if your order is USD 49 or above as required for free shipping - Choose any of the available shipping modes (doesn't matter which one you choose), your shipping charge will automatically be substracted from the total and will be free.
4) You pay!

Pros and Cons
Expedited Service (Fedex/UPS/Aramex etc.) (5-7 Days Delivery) gives wider facilities such as tracking of shipments online from vendor websites and the delivery will be done within 5-7 days from the time of dispatch (as promised by the Courier service authorities), anywhere in the world. Sometimes even earlier. They have got an excellent support service.

India Speed Post (15 Days Delivery) is an extended service from Postal Department of India. They have a tie-up with different International Postal services and promises to deliver within a span of 7 - 14 days.

ORDERS BELOW USD 59
All orders below USD 59 will have to bear the shipping cost, the coupon code will not work. It is best advised that you make your tea order total USD 59 or above and make yourself eligible for free shipping.

When do we ship?
We ship your tea order(s) as soon as your credit card is verified by 2checkout.com, our authorized retailer of goods. It may take maximum of 1-2 days for verification. We wait for this verification in order to avoid credit card frauds and to safeguard the legitimate usage of your credit card.

REFUND POLICY
Thunderbolt Tea strives to deliver the most authentic Darjeeling Teas. The teas are purchased directly from the gardens and the grade of teas which we send is exactly the same as mentioned on our shopping section. All the tea names (eg. Castleton Muscatel – FTGFOP-1) will be the same as kept by the gardens themselves and will not be altered by us. We deliver the precise teas and will not send something which is similar - this signifies that we do not sell blended teas and instead concerntrate on single estate and seasonal teas.

Despite the authenticity we try to keep up with the quality of tea, if there is a certain criterion where a customer is not satisfied, we will issue a full credit for product cost. No partial returns will be accepted, and merchandise must be sent back in original individual and case packaging. Shipping costs on returned merchandise are at the customer's expense. If you opt to return acceptable merchandise, you will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Merchandise may be returned within 30 days of receipt. No returns will be accepted after 30 days. The customer is requested to send us an email detailing about the return of the purchased tea. The money will be refunded only after the tea is returned to us.

If a customer wants to settle the amount with some other tea order, we will ship the tea immediately after the confirmation is received.
