Located 16 km from Darjeeling town, North Tukvar Tea Estate ranges from 1500 ft to 2800 ft msl in altitude. It was acquired by Jayshree Tea company in the year 1995. North Tukvar Tea Estate having a tea cultivation area of 195.45 hectare, it produces some of the best quality First Flush teas as well as excellent Autumnals as this tea. The overall appearance of this classic Darjeeling Tea from North Tukvar Tea Estate is chocolaty, but with a complex blend of variety of colors, black, green, chocolate, brown etc. It has considerable amount of silver tips (buds). The tea leaves are rather miniature in size and can prove economical with the use of less tea leaves during preparation. It is fresh and sweet smelling. It has a marvelous bouquet of fruitiness with undertones of milk, chocolate and caramel.

The leaves result in a bright coppery infusion depicting a good bright cup. The silver and golden buds turn into dark brownish-yellow infused leaves. The fresh and beautiful nose from the wet leaves denotes a well manufactured tea at North Tukvar Tea Estate. It has a pronounced aroma that is fruity, fresh, and sweet and slightly veggie.

This North Tukvar Tea Estate autumnal has a bright coppery liqor with a reddish/orange hue. It is full bodied mellow and malty at the same time. It has a certain degree of briskness which seems to sparkle and spread in the mouth. It is rich in taste with a creamy precipitate when cooled. It is slightly grassy and has a mild and balanced astringency. It is highly nutty and slightly fruity in taste.

Definitely a lovely classic breed from North Tukvar Tea Estate. Made more in the greenish character, it is a well balanced and affordable tea which shows signs of both floral and fruity notes, showing a bridge of characteristics between first and second flush.
